Investment Options
The Maestro Fund offers multiple options for investment. Investors may purchase units at the individual property level or at the Master Fund level. Each property is held in a separate LLC, providing insulation from other LLC's and obligations outside its own.
Individual property LLCs will offer differing investment strategies and hold periods that are specifically designed for the perceived opportunity in that property. Most of these single-property-funds are "closed end" meaning they have a specific time horizon for sale. Typical hold periods will vary from 3 to 10 years. Some single-property-funds will be offered as "open ended" investments and will be sold when the Fund Manager believes the timing is right. The Fund Manager is always co-invested alongside outside investors to align interests in the way that benefits all investors most.
The Maestro Fund investors may purchase at the level of the property LLCs or, at some point in the future, into the already diversified open-ended Master Fund. Investors may create the diversify of their choosing within their real estate portfolio by purchasing units in different LLCs.
Closing out of the property level LLC's will happen at the predetermined dates outlined in each property prospectus. Sales at the Master Fund level will happen as new investors come into the fund or when the fund is dissolved in approximately 10 - 15 years.
